More interactive pics

Party at Suzie and Shawn's a few weeks back, Suzie is holding her nephew Ian who is staring at Mishka, who is staring right back!

Here's another pic from Camryn's christening, side view of Daddy and Mishka...okay, so there's a little similarity. :)

Aunt Erin got in on some of the fun, getting Mishka to laugh and giggle a little bit!

Mishka Update:
Teething season is upon us, which means the sleep is more erratic and the screams are that much more loud. GOOD TIMES!!!! (note the sarcasm ;)) Thankfully Mommy is a saint and is increadibly patient with her, and Daddy has been creative in terms of trying things to calm her down (who knew chewing on cloth could be so entertaining!). Mishka has also been spending time with her new babysitter, Krista, and her boy Isak, which has been cool as well!
She's alert, very talkative, and growing like a weed (25 inches long, 15 lbs, 4 ozs).

That's all for today.

My how she grows!

Some great pics of Mishka during the past week...just a glimpse of how amazing this little girl is, if these pics don't bring a smile to your face, I'm not sure what will! ;)

Hey, check out my tie-dye t-shirt and my giggly smile!

Now check out what Mishka's learned to do with her thumb!!!!

Hey there, what's going on!!!

Look everyone, I can hold my breath and then spit!!

I've got a cool bow!!!!!!

Big smile (this one is daddy's favorite pic!)

Some of Mishka's Christening

I wish I could post the clip of Mishka getting dunked (with a commentary from Uncle Luke!), but I can't get that posted just yet...so here are a few.

This is right before the service, Mishka was very alert and pretty social...it lasted until she got hungry...

That's when poor Uncle Nico got the brunt of her wailing and flailing! Mind you, this is before she got dunked...talk about a ticked off little kid!

Here's Mishka in her Christening gown (same one her Babu wore!) at Nico and Ange's afterward, just chilling and taking in the scenery!

Here comes the Meyer's clan!!!

Okay, we've got some pics...first up, some pics from Camryn Meyer's christening party!

Here are the cousins! Payton's on the left, Camryn is infront of Mishka (sitting) who is in front of Cole (who's showing everyone his tongue and teeth!), and then there's Bella on the right!

Here's Payton making funny faces at Mishka (she was AWESOME with Mishka!) with Camryn looking to get into some of the fun.

3 lovely ladies! Payton, Bella & Mishka

Payton's talking to Mishka again...they were fast friends :)

This just in!!!

This Just In!!!!!!!!

Mishka's got herself a new playmate! Oliver Mackenzie Somers was born today, August 15th, at 12:55 am...his Mom (Tracey) is doing okay, but exhausted (27 hour labor!) and his Dad (Tony) is by all reports on cloud 9!!!

No pics at this point of Oliver.

No pics of Mishka just yet either...technical difficulties are still in play, but I hope to get some in a few days...

Mishka Update: She was Christened this past weekend at St. Mark's Orthodox Church in Kingston, MA (very small ceremony during Sunday mass)...it went pretty smoothly, although Mishka was NOT a fan of the full body dunking in the Holy Water! Mom & Dad are very happy that Mishka will have the opportunity to start her exploration in faith in the Russian Orthodox church...and Mishka's got some fantastic Godparents in her Uncle Nico and Aunt Tracey (and by proxy Aunt Masha...Tra was a wee bit busy on Sunday!!!!) to help her along her way, along with the variety of views and experiences of her family and friends. Good stuff!
She and her Mommy are currently hanging out on the Cape with Babi and Babu (which is probably a good thing as Daddy is off is Neuroanatomy land right now...scary place if you don't have a map ;))...Mishka's working on setting a new Guiness Book of World Record in overall volume of dispelled drool for an almost 4 month old. Seriously, the kid looks like she's been hosed down.

Pics will come soon!

Then and Now

Time for a little then and now!

Mishka at a day old...probably looking for food :)

Mishka at about 3 months, with her big hat and staring away! Also probably looking for food... ;)

1st couple days...the content little sleeper

This was a week ago, interacting with Mommy and Daddy and gurgling away...just noticed that the more recent pics Mishka is more wide-eyed and stunned looking...I think the shock is setting in as she's realized how crazy her parents are!

Marina Update:
The kid is just plain cute! More than ever she is alert, aware, and laughing! She gurgles quite a bit in attempts to talk to you, also, if you sing to her, she will smile, giggle, and often times try to sing along. She's also become more generally vocal (read as: loud!), and starting to whine, which is lovely (note sarcasm)...I imagine this is merely an appetizer of the interactions to come, but I guess it's time to see what Tash & I are made of as parents! Regardless, she's the light of our lives, that will hopefully never change :)

Side note: Tash & I are having some technical difficulties with our digital camera, meaning that it might be a few days (weeks) until we fix the problem, so not sure when we'll get some updated pics on there (got some real cute ones with Mishka & her cousins recently!) Also, if anyone has a digital pic of Mishka with her Great-Grampa McManama and wouldn't mind emailing it to me (wasn't able to do it from the snapfish albums), I'd surely appreciate it! dtower3do@aol.com

Down East Maine Road Trip, part 2

So we found a lake in the middle of Mount Desert Island that was swimmable, meaning that Tasha was totally going swimming! The sun was setting, Tasha was in the midst of making the decision to go for a swim, and Mishka was very giggly and expressive in her carriage...so I took a few pics!

Mommy up to her knees, still pondering to take the plunge...check out her shadow :)

Then Tasha ventured out a bit farther onto a rock...always said she was heaven sent, now I have a picutre to prove it!

Hey, what's going on out there...is Mommy swimming yet???

Teehee, I like sunsets!!!!

Mommy the ballerina, just like her Babi!

Down East Road Trip, part 1

The Tower family ventured northward to check out what this Down East Maine place looked like...it was AWESOME!!! Mountains along the ocean, seriously, is there any better land scape in this world!!!!! One pic to the left here...

Here's Mishka and Daddy checking out the forest during a hike.

Mommy and Mishka make this hiking thing look good!!! :)

Summer days

Mommy & Mishka just finish washing up after a long day at the beach where...

there was alot of hardcore swimming! And of course...

Alot of hardcore sleeping ;)
